Yesterday, I created a new Custom Fishing Rod for 7Seas. I named this Custom Fishing Rod *KK* 2010 Fishing Rod Of Light Bulbs because, as the name implies, it has light bulbs on it that lights up when the Custom Fishing Rod is casted or used by the fisher. The lights can also be turned on or off via menu which is activated when the Custom Fishing Rod is touched by its user/owner/fisher.

Up until now, I still can’t decided whether Shareapic is legit or a scam. Last year, I was able to reach and surpass their $20 payment requirement and immediately requested payment. That payment never came because Shareapic was battling a law suit. That was understandable but now that they have amicably settled their legal issues, they claimed that they are now paying their members what they owed them.

This past week, many Second Life residents suddenly started creating accounts in Avatars United which is a Social Networking Website for Avatars. After the announcement of Linden Lab’s acquisition of Avatars United, Second Life residents, like Lemmings, started joining in.

While watching the local news today, I learned that Presidential Candidate, Senator Manny Villar, is up in the latest Survey Ratings. Well, it wasn’t a bit surprising because Senator Manny Villar is practically burning millions of pesos in his campaign. How? Just watch television and you’ll find out and it doesn’t matter which channel or network it is too.

Everyday his political/campaign advertisements are shown in every channel, in every network and in every corner of the country and it’s not just one ad, it’s a variety of ads. Ads with street children and poor people, ads with songs and ads with celebrities like Michael V (Bitoy) and Dolphy. In fact, he has the most campaign ads aired everyday amongst all the Presidential Candidates and if you are a television watcher then I’m certain that you have seen his ads not once but many times a day.

Over the past few weeks, Second Life has received some nice press coverage and recognition for our virtual goods market stemming from T Linden’s 2009 SL economy wrap up. Virtual goods have been a hot topic in the press over the last year. However, most of the articles feature the amount of revenue made by platform companies that sell virtual goods to their users, not on a true economy fueled by user-generated content and the exchange of virtual goods ON the platform, like we have in Second Life.

It’s the end of the month and, once again, it’s time to post how my sales did for the month of January 2010. I’m not doing this to brag about my sales. No, because there is nothing to brag about it. Compared to more popular and bigger merchants and creators, the amount I make each month is laughable. I do this to help me gauge how my sales performed in each alternative online Second Lifemarketplaces in the period covered.
